AC Fiscal Responsibility Committee Defeats Callaway and Levy in Atlantic County Superior Court of NJ

The Committee to Restore Fiscal Responsibility in Atlantic City Government scored a huge victory in Atlantic County Superior Court today.

Kimberly Baldwin, Esq. filed a “Motion Requesting to Dismiss Complaint” against the citizens of Atlantic City, who are protesting  outrageous salary increases ranging from 28 % to 100 % for Craig Callaway and other friends and family members of Craig Callaway and Bob Levy.

The Motion was DENIED today by the Honorable Judge Valerie H. Armstrong, A,J.S.C., in a 16 page rebuke of Baldwin, Callaway, Rosemary Adams and Bob Levy.

Judge Armstrong in, denying the Motion by Baldwin, Callaway and Levy, highlighted that the “Defendant’s”( Rosemary Adams, Callaway and Bob Levy of the City of Atlantic City), relied in part upon the “incorrect statutory provision in support of their motion”.

Iris Hernandez a spokesperson for the committee said, “ we are so grateful that the Superior Court of NJ and Judge Armstrong saw through the frivolous positions of Craig Callaway, Kim Baldwin and Bob Levy”.

“There was no merit to the city’s case. This is just another clear example of Callaway and Levy attempting to deny the will of the people of Atlantic City for their own self-serving interests”, said Hernandez.

Jerry Hannan, a spokesperson for the committee said, “This is a great day for democracy and citizen action”. “What Callaway, Baldwin , Adams and Levy attempted to perpetrate upon the referendum process and the citizens of Atlantic City is a disgrace”.

“The Judge ruled in our favor on every issue involving this case”, said Hannan. “The fact that the city lawyers stooped to intentionally misinterpreting clearly defined statutes and perverting the law is simply un-American”.

“We are thoroughly pleased with this complete and total victory handed down to the people of Atlantic City by the NJ Superior Court. "We look forward to finally resolving the matter, and giving the citizens of Atlantic City a chance to vote with respect to these attempted and excessive salary increases”, concluded Hannan.
