BREAKING NEWS

MAJOR DEVELOPMENT

STUNNING REVERSAL

A HIGHLY UNDIGNIFIED MOMENT FOR MIKE GARVIN

With yesterday's Bergen County decision ... and the realization that Senator Jon Corzine was going to lose his case before Atlantic County Judge Val Armstrong tomorrow ... Garvin is attempting a sleazy political move ... A type of move that we never thought Garvin would ever do ...

ATLANTIC COUNTY CLERK
MICHAEL GARVIN
HAS ABRUPTLY CHANGED
HIS COURSE OF FIELD ...

GARVIN HAS RELENTLESLY MAINTAINED
THAT SENATOR JON CORZINE FAILED TO
MEET THE DEADLINE FOR BALLOT CONSIDERATION
WITH REGULAR ATLANTIC COUNTY REGULAR DEMOCRATS

Suddenly, and without explanation ... Garvin wants to give Corzine entry to Column "A." This flies in the face of everything that Garvin has said to date ...

We regret to inform the public that this also smells of highly questionable and dirty politics ...

Even worse, Atlantic County Counsel Jim Ferguson filed just 12 hours ago, a brilliant legal brief opposing the Corzine request ... This is significant, because Ferguson is Garvin's attorney ... This further proves that Garvin was always opposed to this ... Garvin is now going against the legal advice of his own attorney in order to puruse a political desire for Corzine ...

This is unseemly and will dramatically affect Garvin's previously untainted record of public service ...  Garvin will never again be able to say that he just does what is right ... and is not political ... This is highly political and calls for a formal investigation of Garvin ...

Also, I can confirm through my own personal knowledge that Garvin was adamantly opposed to moving Corzine ... because Corzine had failed to meet the required candidate filing deadlines ...

This "12th hour" reversal by Garvin is stunning and highly political ... And, even flies in the face of his own previously stated public positions and the advice of his own attorney ...

We are sad to report that this may go down as the most undignified moment of Michael Garvin's otherwise stellar career in public service ...

Garvin has now demonstrated that he is capable of making a purely political decision ... which is obviously against his own legal counsel's advice ...

The question that is being loudly raised ... Who got to Mike Garvin? What happened here? How has he suddenly changed his position by exactly 180 degrees?

Finally, we must recite one of our favorite expressions .... "The law of unintended consequences" ... In "Crafty" Carbone's zeal to place Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford into the position as a defendant ... in order to generate negative media coverage ... which it did ... Langford now has formal standing in this case ... And, our well placed sources have confirmed to HarryHurley.com that Langford will not offer his approval to Garvin's "Consent Request."

Had Carbone not placed Langford in the defendant's position .... His standing in this case would not be so clear ... The only mention of Langford in the Carbone/Corzine complaint is that langford may be interested in the result ... However, this was misused to generate negative press coverage illustrating Langford as a "defendant."

However, in the end, this actually places Langford in/or at least near the driver's seat ...

We believe strongly that Langford attorney Fred Bor needs to get Garvin under oath before Judge Armstrong ...

Our well placed sources have indicated that unless all parties to Garvin's Consent Order agree and sign off on it  ... that the 10:30 a.m. hearing tomorrow morning before Judge Armstrong is still on as scheduled ...

We will interview Langford attorney Fred Bor tomorrow at 8:15 a.m. on "Hurley in the Morning" ... Millennium Radio New Jersey ... WKXW AM 1450 ... The truth in Broadcasting.

Developing ...

EDITOR'S NOTE: We have always been a big fan of Mike Garvin's ... This issue and his obvious political cave-in to Democratic Party pressure leaves us with a feeling of great disappointment ... We always thought that Garvin would stand on his principles ... Such is not the case in this example ... This is absolutely, positively a political decision that Garvin cannot justify.
