LoBIONDO ENDORSES SAURO’S WRITE-IN CAMPAIGN FOR ASSEMBLY

- Sauro Signs No Tax Pledge -

                              

 

Millville, NJ - Congressman Frank LoBiondo today announced his endorsement of former Cumberland County Freeholder Director Jim Sauro’s write-in campaign for Assembly in the First District.

 

“I am honored to support my friend Jim Sauro for Assembly,” said LoBiondo.  “Jim and I worked closely together when he was a Cumberland County Freeholder and I know the commitment he will give to taxpayers in the First Legislative District.  His experience as a Freeholder Director and small businessman is sorely needed in Trenton because of the wasteful mismanagement of state government by the Democrats.”

 

“I am truly honored to accept Congressman LoBiondo’s endorsement, I believe his support really reflects the momentum my campaign is gaining,” said Sauro, R-Cumberland. “I am anxious to get past the primary and start working to unseat the Democrats who have ruined their opportunity to fix New Jersey. Since the Democrats took over things have gotten worse day by day. From fiscal mismanagement to statewide corruption, the Democrat record is not a proud one.”

 

Sauro also signed the Americans for Tax Reform’s ‘Taxpayer Protection Pledge’ which promises the people of the First District that, when elected, a candidate will oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes.

 

“The pledge makes sense,” stated Sauro.  “How can we burden the taxpayers with more taxes when the Democrats can’t even control their own spending?  Last year alone the Democrats borrowed $1.9 billion to cover their 17% increase in spending. The Democrats should be more concerned with reigning in spending than unloading the burden on to the people of New Jersey.”

 

“I am very pleased that Jim signed the pledge,” stated LoBiondo. “When I was first elected in 1994, I signed the pledge realizing how important it is to let the voters know just how dedicated I was to controlling taxes.  It is good to know that over a decade later some candidates still understand this principle.”

 

“I honestly believe the people have heard my message and will be willing to do a little extra work when they go to the polls,” concluded Sauro. “I can promise them that their effort next Tuesday will be well worth it come November.”
